We are deeply concerned about Homeland security and want to intellectually tackle roots and sources of radicalisation. By creating an awareness about these issues, we want federal and state authorities to closely monitor those faith institutions (mosques, madrassas/seminaries, charities etc) that are actively promoting those clerics like Yasir Qadhi and Siraj Wahhaj, that are on record promoting hatred of Sunni and Shia Muslims as well as Christians Jews and others. Invariably such hate clerics subscribe to the the extremist Salafi and Deobandi ideologies.

Empirical evidence in the US and Europe confirms that in almost all incidents of Islamist terrorism, militants belonged to or were brainwashed by Salafi/Wahhabi and Deobandi extremist ideology. It is a fact that the Salafi/Wahhabi and Deobandi faith institutions are usually funded by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey and other countries in the Middle East.

If these foreign funded institutions foster extremism and exclusiveness, then we propose that they should be nationalised and converted into old homes, orphanages and foster homes. Domestic extremism will continue to proliferate until extremist Salafi/Wahhabi and Deobandi movements are active globally.Other countries like Austria Switzerland and Belgium have adopted such policies.

The United States should be proactive and learn from the example of Europe before waves of radical Salafi preachers brainwash entire populations here at home. Clearly this is the case in certain neighbourhoods in Brussels where a steady supply of Saudi educated Salafi Clerics are openly carrying ISIS flags.

We need to monitor, document and analyse all incidents of terrorism and clearly identity the perpetrators of these terrorist attacks. We cannot allow excessive political correctness in endangering our national security interests. Global terrorism incidents at the hands of Salafi/Wahhabi and Deobandi terror outfits such as ISIS or ISIL, Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, Taliban, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP aka ASWJ), Boko Haram, Al Shabab and Jundallah need to be analysed closely so that they are neutralised at source before infiltrating our homeland.
