A Sectarian Genocide: Shia Killing and DSW militancy

This project aims to document human rights abuses against Shia minorities and Sunni adherents of the broader culture of veneration for the 4th Caliph, Ali Ibn Abu Talib. Eliminating diversity within Islam is a prominent characteristic of DSW militancy and this report is the most comprehensive and detailed catalogue of this form of violence ever attempted.

The report aims to secure recognition of violence against Shias at the United Nations and amongst the global human rights establishment. IFUT is currently working with the Al-Khoie Foundation, which holds a General Consultative Position at the UN to create a strategy for bringing the report to the attention of the General Assembly.
